Senior Portraits

There is not a better time to capture your children than the last year they are in high school. Whatever their path may be, college, straight off to work, military, moving to another state, this is the time we want to capture them because they quickly become adults and the next time you see them might be during the holidays or summer break. Warning: this session can be emotional for some parents so if you stick around during the shoot bring your kleenex! It really is a wonderful time and I am so honored to have a little glimpse into these soon to be adults’ lives and see what journey they will be on next.

Family Lifestyle Session

My main focus on these sessions is to capture more of a lifestyle feel. Instead of the stiff posing I will guide you during our session together to get images of your family interacting together. This really is about having fun and most of all I want you to be able to relax and enjoy this hour we have. I don’t want to just have a picture of you standing there looking at the camera, I want the picture to show emotion and a beautiful bond. I want you to be able to look at your gallery and not just see your family but feel the connection. These moments that sometimes feel like long seasons, because let’s face it, being a parent can be hard, but let me assure you it goes entirely too fast. Those little kiddos will be adults before you know it and it’s so nice to have these memories to look back on.

You can choose between a local park, the beach, or drive to a mountain. Most of these sessions take place at golden hour which is 1 ~ 1 1/2 hours before sunset.

Maternity & Newborn Lifestyle Sessions

Welcoming a baby is such an exciting time. Let’s face it there are many sides of being pregnant that can be hard. Being sick, sleepless nights, body changes, getting so big towards the end you can hardly tie your shoes without asking someone for help and to even see your feet by that point while standing is a miracle in itself. All of these things are so worth it and as soon as you see that baby an overwhelming sense of love rushes over your body. When you found out you were pregnant did you think “wow, this is going to be a long 9 months?” but honestly by the time you get to that point towards welcoming him or her you may be a bit shocked on how quickly your body grew a little human and then you find yourself cleaning areas of your home you have never even seen before, cooking meals to throw in your freezer and organizing your home in ways you never have. It’s amazing how we enter into a stage of “nesting”. This happens. It happened to me 4 times. My first baby I wanted to clean the top of the fridge and pull everything out and clean every inch. It was an interesting experience and I just knew my body was preparing to meet my little boy. It was giving me signs my body is ready and this baby is coming.

This time of being together in my sessions is a very precious time. Some mothers come to me very nervous, not knowing what to expect, maybe not feeling good or feeling beautiful because they feel too big. Let me assure you, EVERY BELLY, EVERY PREGNANT MOTHER is beautiful without a doubt. This little baby is growing inside of you is just an amazing experience. I have had many mothers walk away surprised on how calm and nice this session felt. Almost like a date night with their loved one. Again, I want you to look back at your gallery and “feel” these images.
